According to the present plans of the Comedy club the successful play; in the competition to be conducted by that organization next fall may be produced on the professional stage following its local presentation. The management of the Comedy club is ne- gotiating with three prominent pro- ducing companies in New York and Manager A. G. Cohen has been noti- fled that the managers will give the chosen manuscript a reading. The play must be written by a stu- dent in the university, and handed in to the judges on the first Friday after school opens next fall. If the play is accepted for the annual production of the club the author will receive a prize of $100. If no play is chosen for production a prize of $25 will be awarded for the best play submitted. Announcement of the winning play will be made at the end of next Octo- ber. Immediately following the de- cision of the judges, it will be submit- ted to the New York managers for their approval.
