The Bell telephone company has re- cently bought out the property and rights of the Home company. Finan- cially, the deal is settled, all stock having been transferred, but as yet the systems of the companies are the same as before, and will remain as such until they are combined under the Bell control. The problem confronting the Bell people at present is how the combine can be accomplished, and this will re- quire some time to be perfected. Due to the size of the Home Co., the phy- ical idea of combining the two com-' panies is a large matter, but will be worked out as soon as possible. The tollrates to Ypsilanti will prob- ably remain the same as before. How- ever, this has not been definitely set- tled., MICHIWANENSIAN CANDIDATES TO MEET TUESDAY EVENING. STUDENT DIRECTORY IS TO APPE AR ON TIME. Management Promises to Have Book Out Two Weeks Earlier T'hisYear. For the first time since the student body has taken over the publication of the official student's directory, the book promises to be out on time, or at least two weeks earlier than it ever has before. No date has been set as yet for the first appearance of the much used in- formation list, but as far as can be learned, the work on the book, is two weeks more advanced than at this time last year. The list of the "Ypsi" students has been placed in the hands of the printer, and by the first of the week, the complete list of university students will be ready for the compos- itor. This does not mean, however, that the book will be ready to be placed on sale immediately, as the printer has annonuced that the work will require about a month.
