Michigan's tennis team leaves today
on its eastern trip with Captain An-
drews, B-all, Wilson, and Randall,,
comprising the lineup. The final se-'
lections were made yesterday After a
series of tryouts which has occupied
the attention of Coach Lee the better
part of the spring.
The squad goes as far east as An-
napolis and Philadelphia, having book-,
ed games with eight different insti-
[tutions., The opening game comes
Saturday with Cornell at Ithaca, and
the last game a week from Saturday
with the University of Pittsbirg.

Laying aside the tomahawk, and oth-
er arms of the warrior, Michigamua
braves will don the evening dress of
fthe paleface tonight in celebration of
the eleventh annual peace pact in Gran-
ger tepee. Squaws from distant na-
tions' will gather with the fighting
braves to watch the smoke of the pipe
and to dance to the tom-tomn. Faculty
sachems will serve as night watchers.
According to custom handed down by
tradition the braves and squaws will
break the war fast with a feast in the
wigwam immediately following the
close of the dance.

'As the rain-soaked clouds hung low in
yesterday evening's sky, Druids, the
mystic old men of Britain came upon
the campus in search of disciples from
among the junior lits to carry on the
.precepts of the order during the next
twelve months. Kneeling with faces
bended low before the stone altar,
twelve woridlings were found worthy
of adiniSsion to the inner circle.
Following the initiation rites a ban-
quet, was held at the Michigan Union
in honor of the Awenydlds. Professors
Cross, Friday, and Tilley, spoke for
the faculty, while Carl Schoeffle, Dex-
ter Reinhart, Walter Staebler and P'er-
cival Blanshard represented' the act-
ive members.
The Awenydds were: Paul Blan-
shard, Percival Blanshard, Bruce
Bromley, George Caron, Gordon Eld-
redge, Waldo Fellows, Patrick K~oontz,
John Lipipncott, Ltester Rosenbaum.

New Orleans Alen Ilant to Organize.
Plans are being formnulated by stu-
dents from New Orleans and suburbs
to effect a social organization. A mum-
ber of men from the Crescent city
have promised to affiliate, and it is ex-
pected that a dinner will be held soon
at the Michigan Union to complete the
organization. Students hailing from
the southern Pmetropolis should com-

A large body of Commerce club men
will spend next Monday in Detroit,
visiting the plants of the Burroughs
Adding Machine Company, the Pack-
ard Motor Car Company and the Fred-
erick Stearns Company. The men will
leave Ann Arbor on the Michigan Cen-
tral at 6:57 o'clock Monday morning,
and assemble at the Metropole Hotel at
8:00 o'clock before starting out on
the inspection trip.
