Lake Mohonk this afternoon, and Prof.
T. C. Trueblood will have. charge of
the contest for the Mohonk Peace con-
ference, wh'ich conducts the series of
contests.
"The Evolution of Patriotism," with
which Blanishard has won the previous
contests in the series in this district,
will be his oration; and he will deliver
it against a representative of the west
and the east.
Vernon Welsch,of Knox College, Mon-
mouth, Ill., is the western competitor.
He has been coached by Louis Eich, 12,
Michigan's honor orator last year; so
that as far as the coaching is con-
cerned it will be pupil against teach-
er. The eastern representative was
not selected until Tuesday evening,
and the successful man is not yet
known here.
The' Michigan Daily has made ar-
rangements to cover the, event by a
special wire, and will carry a full
story of the national contest tomorrow
morning.
