When two-thirds of th suppos- edly loyal are home in their rooms, others on the side-lines "fussing," and an infinitesimal fraction of the remain- der trying to make up in enthusiasm what they lack in quality and quantity. Which seems to be the prevailing or- der of things to date. What has become, may we ask, of the old-fashioned senior classes that turned out enmasse for their respect- ive sings? Must pleading be resorted to in order that Michigan traditions be preserved? We are not yet willing to grant all that. We've got enough confidence in our seniors to believe that they'll at- tend the remaining sings more than a baker's dozen strong-books, girls, and poor musical attainments to the con- trary notwithstanding. It was designed by Prof. Filibert Roth, who introduced wood testing into the U. S..forestry service, while associated with that department. When the wood testing facilities of the forestry depart- ment are fully organized, the people of the state will have access to its ser- vice.
