Who owns that cheeriest of whistles which greets you every morning? The mailman. Who brings you dad's check, moth- er's love, sister's cheer, and brother's advice? The mailman. Who makes you think the weather's warm when its cold, the day sunshiny when its all gloom? The mailman. Where in any clime will you find a better bunch of good scouts than these Ann Arbor mailmen? We pass. Well then, if some canine with more collar than good sense pedigree, takes a journey to Canine Kingdom Come, whom will you blame-the mailman who provided him with the transporta- tion, or those who never saw fit to equip their departed purp with reas- onable manners? We don't pass. Do you? Street' Taxi -- 1550 CAMPUS IN BRIEF. John H. Payne, '12L, of Chicago, ar- rived in the city last iiight for a visit of a few days. PROVIDING A LABORATORY. Practical training of great worth is the reward in store for those students who are taking an active interest in the inauguration of a play-ground sys- tem for Ann Arbor schools. Our fear is that many who might care to take advantage of this opportunity will not do so because of unfamiliarity with the plans and the placesat which to break in. Social service, and its off-spring, the play-ground movement, offer a big field for college bred men and women. Many Michigan students find proflita- ble and interesting summer employ- ment or a life vocation by reason of acquaintances with play-ground meth- ods. The field is seemingly unlimited at the present time and the movement is still in its infancy. Those who are specializing along sociological lines can hardly afford to miss the laborato- ry training 'which the local play- grounds are now offering, rchf ield &1Company 106 East Kuron Street Can't be beat.
