Owing to the fact that the score was not close his decisions were not particularly costly but if it had been a close game it would have rapidly degenerated into a guessing contest with odds favoring the uxmps. Visitors Opened Scoring. The smoke eaters started the scrap- ping in the third. Biddle hit and was sacrificed. He took third on an infield death and scored on Schenk's clipper. That ended their tallying and Bari- beau kept the remaining bingles in individual innings for the sake of the appearances. The Wolverines came back like Roosevelt in the their half of the third. Corey ambled and was sacrificed but was caught on third on Bell's roller. With two out and Bell on, Sisler sing- led and Rogers tripled scoring them both. Webber repeated the triple stunt and Rogers rang up. Again in the seventh three counters were hung up. Baribeau tripled and Baker scored him with a hit. Sisler swatted a cir- cuit breaker for four sacks, counting Baker. That ended Michigan's scor- ing and only one other isolated hit fell into the voracious batting averages.
