9R. MAY OFF'ERS NEWV COURSE.
T'rack+ Candidates Al1ready Working
Ouat for Spring Contests.
For the first time in several years
a course in advanced gymnastics will
be conducted by Dr. G. F. May, begin-
ning the first Wednesday of Novem-
ber and meeting one a week. This
lass will appeal especially to men in-
tending to teach, as ability to .instruct
in" physical training -will often help
them to a better position.
The regular class which has met
for the last few years at 4:00 p. mn.,
W'ednesdays and Fridays has been
shifted to Monday and Friday at the
same hour.
All first year students who are not
on the list of football men submitted
by Coach; Conklin, must obtain gym-
nasium lockers and enroll in classes.
Captain Haimbaugh with his cross-
country squad will report to Dr. May
for special examination one week be-
fore the tryouts for the eastern trip.
The date of this event has not been
determined .
Sargent and. Griest, in whom Mich-
igan's hopes in the high-jump are' cen-
tered, can be seen every afternoon
working out on the floor of Waterman
gymnasium. Both are clearing the
bar at close to six feet, and barring
accidents bid fair to have a, great year.
MEM 1BERS OF LIBRARY STAFF
FORM.f SOCIAL OR ANIZ TTroN-
The members of the library staff
have finally completed their plans for
the organization of a social club. The
Sanskrit language has been sacked
for' a name and the combination "Kri-
da" has been picked as satisfactory.
Just what it means no one knows, but
the members feel quite sure that there
is something magical in the name
which will make their dances and oth-
er social gatherings real amiable.
