much lower than it has been at any

high holes were entertained for the
discovery of the other bodies before

The regular searching organization
by the university under the direction
of Prof. C. E. Johnston was broken up
after the vacation, but the announce-
wnent of the reward stinulated the in-
terest so that the party is larger now
than at any time since the' first day
after the tragedy. This is due to some
extent to the change in the weather.
The continuous rains for the last two
weeks made the river high and muddy,
but the last two days have been almost
ideal, and the water is much lower
and clearer, so that it is now possible
to see the bottom of the stream from
the boats.
The university motor truck has
been brought to the aid of the search-
ers and all the boats that drift down
the river are carried back in this, in-
stead of by rail from Ypsilanti.
