FIELD POETRY PRIZE AMAIN OFFERED FOR COMPETITION Entries For Annual Contest Must Be. Submitted to Prof. Scott By April 21. The Field poetry prize of $100 will be offered again this year for the best poem written by an undergraduate. Nelson C. Field, of Kansas City, Mo., who has donated a similar prize for the past four years, ahs notified Prof. F. N. Scott of his desire to renew the offer. The subject matter and length of the compositions is left to the choice of the contestant, the only rule of the contest being that the poems must be the work of a Michigan undergradu- ate. All entries for the contest must be in the hands of Prof. Scott by April 21. Members of the rhetoric faculty will act as judges, and their decision will be announced the first week in May. MARCH PAINTED WINDOW TO CONTAIN REVIEW OF NOVEL. The March issue of the "Painted Win- dow," which is to be called the "Good Cheer" number, will make its appear- ance the latter part of this week.. It will contain several features, among which is an innovation known as the "Book Reyiew Department,"containing a treatment of Robert Harrick's latest novel. Charles Phelps Cushing, '07, now on the staff of "Collier's Weekly,"has con- tributed a story called "Some Uses of Adversity," which he wrote at the re- quest of the editors. A complete nov- elette by Leonard Kline, '14, entitled "To the Queen's Taste," is one of the features. UPPERCLASS WOMEN TO PLAY IN SECOND GAME OF SERIES. Senior women will play the juniors this afternoon in the second basket- ball game of their series at 5:00 o'clock in Barbour gym. The seniors won the last game,and if they maintain their past record will win the title of upperclass champions. Since the sophomore women have defeated the freshmen in two games, the '15 women are to battle with the upperclass victors for the campus championship. The university cham- pions will be awarded a silver cup and a silk banner. No date has been set for the final contest. UNION EMPLOYMENT BUREAU HAS SUMMER JOBS ON FILE.
