CORY STARS FOR ,JNIOR LAWS
The junior engineers and the junior
laws were the victors in the two bas-
ketball contests last night. The 1914
E won from the sophomores of .their
department by a count of 31 to 10,
while the J laws out tossed the fresh-
men of their department by a 20 to
14 score.
In the first game the champions of
two seasons, the 1914E, with their ma-
chine like teamwork had little
trouble in caging the ball. The soph-
omores put up a scrappy game
throughout but they were outweigthed
and outgeneraled by the older men.
Although the second quintets did
not play up to the pace set by the
engineers, nevertheless the game was
a thriller. Cory playing forward for
the junior laws was responsible for
16 of the twenty counters for his
team. The lively shooter located the
net seven times from the field and
tossed the sphere in twice from the
foul mark.

"SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL" TO
BE SENIOR WOMEN'S PLAY.
Sheridan's "School for Scandal" will
be given by the senior women this year
during commencement week. This de-
cision has been reached after a discus-
sion of several other plays, but' the
cast of characters of the selected play-
made it the most desirable. The cast
will not be chosen until May as all
who desire to take part in the pro-
duction must take the course in dra-
matic technic. Those who show suffi-
cient ability in this class will be al-
lowed to try for parts in the cast.

ganization with this same end in view
it takes the added burden of trying to
force another big proposition through
besides its own. In consideration of
the slow advance in funds during the
past year, even after the strenuous
state campaign which was launched
last April it seems most ill-advised to
take added responsibility on its shoul-
ders and abandon itself to a complicat-
ed, mesalliance, which is neither com-
patible with the original Union propo
sition nor advantageous from any
viewpoint whatsoever.

Injured Students Show Improvement
The condition of H. McGinnis and J.
Gridley who were injured in the col-
lision of a bob sled and and an inter-
urban car Monday night, is less seri-
ous than first thought. The men sus-
tamed scalp wounds only and are ex-
pected to be discharged from the hom-
eopathic hospital by the end of the
week.
Junior Lits Pay Class Dues Today.
Dues amounting to $100 have been
