Preliminaries to Determine Representatives in ijiversity ('omnpetition Five preliminary class contests will be held this week to determine the five entries for the university oratorical contest Aarch 21, which will decide Michigan's representation in the Northern Oratorical League contest this year. 'Two senior;, two juniors, and one sophomore will compete in the final contest, the winner of which will re- ceive the Chicago Alumni medal and the Kauffman testimonial of $100.00. The first junior contest will be held in room B of the law building to- morrow evening at. 7:30 o'clock, Tues- day evening the second junior prelimi- nary will be held, and the semi-final coutest is set for Saturday, March 1. The sophomore contest will pe held 1ednesday evening, and the senior contest Thursday afternoon. EN1-,r LIT INVITATIONS T;) BE ON SALE THIS WEEKD, Coranencement invitations have ar- rived for the senior lits, and will be ien out some time this week. Mem- bers of the class may secure as many as they desire at 30 cents each, the only stipulation being that money must accompany the orders. At the same time that the orders 'for the invitations are received the class tax will be collected. This is the matter which is holding up the distribution of the invitations as the memorial com- mittee has not reported. A class meet- ing will be held early this week, at which time this committee will report, and action will be taken by the class.
