The pros- pective teachers of mathematics and history are urged to come to thercom- mittee offices on Monday afternoon between 1:30 and 3:00 o'clock. Stu- dents intending to teach modern lan- guages will be received on Tuesday afternoon at the same hour. These meetings have been planned largely for the purpose of fostering a closer relationship between the various offi- cers of the committee and the appli- cants for positions. In case a visiting superintendent wishes to see a particular applicant at once, it is necessary that the com- mittee have a program of each appli- cant's university work on hand to re- fer to at all times. Students who have not yet filed their program with the committee are urged to call at once and secure a blank form for this purpose. The need for such organization was imputed to the fact that unsanitary conditions pre- vailed in the kitchens of many of the boarding houses, and that many stu- dents were obliged to eat their meals from unclean tables. It was also stat- ed that the waiters were continually abused and browbeaten by the people in charge of some of the boarding houses. DANCERS IN OPERA CHORUS IIAyE BEGUN ACTUAL WORK.
