UNIVERSITY WIRELESS DID NOT HAVE LICENSE REVOKED Although it has been consistently rumored that the license of the univer- sity wireless telegraphy station has been revoked, such is not the case. The plant is still sending and receiv- ing messages under the same license which it had in the past, that is a tem- porary license which was granted in November and which is good for eight months. A temporary license is given to stations until the government in- spector examines the plant, when if everything is satisfactory, a perma- nent license is granted. The inspector is expected within a few weeks, and in the opinion of those in charge, there will be no difficulty then in obtaining a permanent license. Willie Hoppe Plays Here Today. "Everything is in splendid shape, except this short piece here," declared Mr. Schumach- er, pointing to the trenches immedi- ately in front of the 'law building, "and that was tested this afternoon; so all we need to do is cover the pipes now, and then when warm weather steps in, we can run in some city wat- er, which averages about 40-50 degrees in temperature, melt the clods and tamp the entire filling securely."
