The high grade of its work, as shown conclusively in "Mon. ey," presented last Saturday night, is the best reason why it has weathered thirty years of life, and why it is des- tined to easier sailing in the future. There have been periods when only the devotion and faithfulness of its mem- bers have kept the organization froml the financial shoals that threaten any organization in its creative period. Plainly, these shoals have now been left far behind. In "Money," the club has not only attempted its most difficult feat to date in both plot and lines, ,but it has crowned that attempt with a success that will warrant almost any presen- tation in the years to come,. And that success has been made possible through the willingness of its mem- bers to devote a :whole year to the mastering of its intricacies. If a sim- ilar enthusiasm could only furnish the motive power for all the rest of our campus societies and organizations, the results attained would be worth the added effort. Varsity letter from becoming cheapen- ed. Both . in football and in 'baseball, .such recognition has been maide much easier to gain, especially in, the latter branch of athletics. For several years be~ck,_ it would -have required a hone, toothed, comb to find a track lt ttron' the campus, due to the difficulty of placing at the eastern intercollegiate. The new method will mean more track "'M's" but that will in no -wise cheapen the letter. What it will re- sult in, is the awarding of letters to men who are equitably entitled to them, if not under the stringent work- ing of the intercollegiate placing re- quirement. MUSIC AND DRAMA.
