APPOINT COMMITTEES AT FRESH LAW CLASS MEETING, Despite the inclement weather, a good percentage of the freshman law class turned out for its first official meeting since organization, yesterday. According to action taken in the meet- ing, a tax of fifty cents for the entire year will be levied on the members of the class, payable at once. This does not include special assessments to be made for various entertainments. The O'Brien Minstrels is quite the largest which has toured for many years and embraces the names of nearly fifty not- ables of the minstrel stage. They will appear at the Whitney theater on Fri day night, November 8. At the Majestic. The Majestic management promises one of the best vaudeville shows of the year starting tonight. The feature act will be a sensational novelty entitled "The Six Banjo Fiends." Wills and Hassan, hand balancers and acrobats, will be another star act.
