' ciation would mulct from the student in addition to his five already spent. After subtracting the number of tickets exchanged for yellow coupons from the total number disposed of, the remainder could be accounted for on the $2 basis and the others on the $1 basis in settling with Cornell. Even if a duplicate set of tickets were requir- ed, so as to give the students the priv- ilege of obtaining a seat anywhere on the field, could not the athletic associ- ation afford the expense of "two or three men for three or four days" to accommodate 5,000 students? The argument is advanced that here- tofore students have had to sit in the students' reserved section or else pay more than $1 for a seat, and that the new plan is just the same. It is the same, with the added feature that if they desire to sit on the south side of the field, each also pays for a seat on the other side. Athletics are supported entirely by the students of this university. There- fore they should be given the very best seats on Ferry field for every athletic contest at the smallest sum practica- ble.
