Fred L. Keeler, who was appointed
superintendent of public instruction
by Gov. Ferris on Tuesday, was gradu-
ated from the literary department ofI
the University of Michigan in 183. For
a year after graduation he took post
graduate work and then taught school.
He Worked his own way through the
university as well as through high
school.
Cheer Leader Problemi Finally Settled?
The cheer leader problem was defi-
nitely settled last night for the next
twenty years according to "Whitey"
Otis. lHe reported at the Daily offices
that a new "Whitey" Otis had arrived.
A 10 pound boy, with apparently an
enormous lung capacity with more pp)
and yelling capacity than his "daddy"
ever had was brought to Ann Arbor
by Dr. Stork and is studying unde
Otis. The new father says that he ex-
pects to have his son in good condition
in time for the Pennsy game at the
latest.
