SEVEN ELECTED TO COMEDY CLUB ROLL Out of the 70 candidates who tried out for positions on the Comedy club yesterday, the following seven were elected to membership: Harold H. Springstun, '17, Amy L. Ecker, '16, Ru- berta Woodworth, '17, Ethyl M. Fox, '15, Harland W. Tucker, '17, Hilliard W. Goldstick, '16b, and Donald M. Morrill, '16. Yesterday's tryout was one of the largest ever, held by the organization, probably due to the great success of last year's production. Those who fail- ed of membership to the club this year will be given another chance next fall. CAMPUS IN BRIEF -A new course in advanced automo- bile laboratory work has been announ- ced for next year. It will consist chiefly in research problems of the motor and chassis and is open to all students who have completed the elementary courses in the department. -Robert S. White, '14, has been ap- pointed actuary of the Gem City Life Insurance Company of Dayton, Ohio. White will take up this new position July 1. -The Michiganensian staffs will hold a dinner at the Union at 6:00 o'clock Friday night, and fobs for service on the 1914 yearbook will be distributed. -Prof. F. C. Newcombe of the depart- ment of Botany, and Mrs. Newcombe left last week for an extended trip through Europe.
