Dean M. E. Cooley, of the engineering department, and Prof. Filibert Roth, head of the Forestry department, suggested such a course, and the instruction was authorized by the board of regents this summer as a part of the university health ser- vice plan. Dr. C. B. Stouffer, the uni- versity physician, will have charge of the course. Such a move has long been agitated and many have deemed it one of the essential parts of theteducation of an engineer and forester. SEVENTEEN ALL-FRESH TO LEAVE ON HILLSDALE TRIP. Coach Douglas Will Pick His Squad t FodayFor Saturday's Tilt Against Baptists. Coach Douglas will pick seventeen men from his squad of All-Fresh can- didates after today's practice to take the Hillsdale trip Saturday. The men will leave early Saturday morning and return the same evening. As the Baptists are known to have an exceptionally heavy team this year, Douglas' men must depend on speed and open plays to a large extent. The practice yesterday was given over to the mastery of new formations. There will be no scrimmage this af- ternoon. The time is expected to be spent in smoothing off the new plays. All of the men who took part in the Wednesday scrimmage with the Var- sity will probably make the trip, and the lineup will closely resemble the team which started then. The shift of Huebel to right end dis- poses of two of Douglas' most perplex- ing problems. The Menominee young- ster showed up well at the extremity, and the shift also settled the question of whether Ziger or Huebel would be the regular quarter. Skinner, the lineman who has been giving Neiman the hardest fight for the pivot position, seems to have beat- en out DeCoudres for right guard, but the latter is still in the running, and will undoubtedly have an opportunity against the collegians Saturday. THREE LAW FRATERNITIES CONSOLIDATE AT CHICAGO. Delta Theta Phi a national law fra- ternity, was organized at a convention held in the Hotel LaSalle, Chicago, on September 26 and 27, by the consolida-. tion of Alpha Kapa Phi, Theta Lambda Phi, and Delta Phi Delta, all national law fraternities. The consolidation was accomplished because the organi- zations had apparently outgrown their original charters, which prevented an expansion of one organization into the territory of any of the others.
