Coffee Roasters and Wholesale Grocers OVER 200 'PREP' MEN ENTER MEET More than 260 entries have already been received for the Michigan Inter- scholastic meet which is to be held at Ferry field next Friday and Saturday. Although yesterday was the final date for receiving entries, a number of addi- tional blanks will probably arrive to- day and tomorrow. One of the most distant schools ,that Manager Koontz has heard from is the high school at Ukiah, Calif. Requests for entry blanks were received from them last week, and they are likely to be represented in the meet if they can get their team of four men here by Friday. The entertainment program for the visitors includes an automobile ride, the Jeanne d'Arc pageant and the California-Michigan Glee and Mando- lin clubs' concert. The annual inter- scholastic dinner will be held at the union Saturday evening at which time the trophies will be awarded iby Man- agter Koontz. The Lemare "Sketch- es" were very charming impressions, conjuring up the languid and sultry at- mospheres of summer. The chimes in the "Evening" were very effective ii winning the applause of the audience. Miss Inez Barbour's voice in the aria, "Ilear Ye Israel" appeared to lend itself to much better advantage with an organ accompaniment for support than with the orchestra. She sang with marked expressiveness and was enthusiastically applauded.Miss Keyes' interpretation -of Gluck's "She is gone and gone forever" was so well received that she was compelled to respond to an encore, Franco Leoni's, "Birth of Morn." MUSIC AND DRAMA Garrick Theatre. This week's attraction at the Garrick theatre, Detroit, will be Maeterlinck's exquisite fantasy, "The Blue Bird." Though the story of the boy and girl who went in search of happiness has been presented in Detroit twice befory, it is always sure of a hearty welcon'e when interpreted by such a cast as the Schuberts announce for this year.
