The lights will be played over the dancers dur- ing the evening, giving a "full moon" effect. The grand march starts 'at 9:00 o'clock. A few of the 150 tickets still remain to be sold, and the committee has de- cided to throw these open to public sale today. The tickets are selling at $2.00, and include dinner. Special booths, built in the corners of the hall are prepared for the chap- erones. The chaperones from the lit- erary department are: Prof. George W. Dowrie and Mrs. Dowrie and Prof. John R. Brumm and Mrs. Brumm, and the chaperones from the engineer- ing department will include: Prof. F. R. Finch and Mrs. Finch, and Prof. H. F. French and Mrs. French. MUSIC AND DRAMA The program of last night's faculty concert was drawn entirely from the composers of the romantic period. Mr. Albert Lockwood seemed to be the fa- vorite of the evening, giving two groups of piano solos. Intelligence and technical mastery marked his in- terpretations throughout, while the Chopin numbers, which bristle with technical intricacies, were played with unusual feeling and insight. The Chopin "Andante spianato and Polo- naise," which is' an arrangement from a concerto, was well received, and Mr. Lockwood played a Bach "Sicilia- no" as an encore. Mr. R. P. Hall played two cello com- positions from Richard Strauss and Cesar Franck, which were but indif- ferently received. Mr. Howland sang with his usual freedom and warmth, with both groups rendered especially effective by his ability to support them with the prop- er dramatic setting. Accompaniments were ably interpre- ted by Miss Goucher and Mr. Moore. emp I e Series of Kathlyn FRIDAY, MARCH 6 Hats, Bath Reule, Conlin & Winter Caps, Odd Trousers, First Part The Adventures of Kathlyn STUDENTS wearing glasses or feeling the need of them will be pleased to know that Ann Arbor! has a modern optical shop where services of an expert optometrist and optician can be had.
