It spite- of the delays, it is expected to have the spur connected by the latter part of May. The bridge across Washington street has been completed. -A series of tests have been conduct- ed from the car in the naval tank, cal- ibrating the current meters for gaging streams. By means of propellers at- tached to the car, an accurate test can be made of the meters, which in turn are used in estimating the rate of current in a stream of water.
