Those who are doing free lance work will be granted an extension of two weeks in which to finish their drawings, mak- ing the final date for their acceptance, January 31. Prof. H. J. Goulding, Mr. R. Everett, Mr. S. F. Kimball, Francis A. Bade, '15, and Robert B. Sturtevant, 14, will constitute the board which will pass upon the drawings and se- lect the prize winners. The prizes are as follows: first, $25, a copy of the annual, and a Michigan- ensian fob; second, $10, book and fob; third, book and fob. All others whose work appears in the year book will receive a copy of it. Senior pictures will be arranged in a manner similar to that employed last year, single panels, one to the page, be- ing used. The book when completed will contain between 650 and 700 pag- es. It will be divided into five gen- eral sections devoted respectively to the university, the classes, athletics, the campus, and organizations, and will represent eight departments, in- cluding the graduate school. ADDITIONS TO LIBRARY FALL BEHIND PREVIOUS RECORDS From the opening of the University the first of October up to the Christ- mas holidays, 3,320 new books for the general library, 244 for the engineer- ing library, 248 for the medical library, 50 for the homeopathic, 21 for the den- tal, and 48 for the architectural librar- ies. The greatest number of books were purchased in December, 1124 be- ing acquired during that month. This number is considerably less than the average for past years, but a much larger number of books will be pro- cured during the remaining months of the winter. A total of 2,418 books were rebound during the three months. A set of 38 volumes printed in Ital- ian is now on the way from Italy. The books comprise a set of homeopa- thic publications.
