Candidates for election for athletic association offices will have the op- portunity to use fifty words inThurs- day's issue of The 31chigan Daily to set forth their qualifications for the benefit of the voters. These communications must be i the hands of the managing editor of The Daily before 800w o'cloch tonight. Since all the candidates have come out in favor of the direct election plan, it seems wasteful to use up the words on it as a platform. THE ISSUE. Again we invite those opposed to the direct election of student members of the board in control to communicate with us. The direct plan has certain- ly struck a popular chord. However, we do not care to have the standpat- tees hold any unfair feelings regard- ing methods used in this campaign, and we again take occasion to warn them that it is their own fault if their side is not presented. It has all the advantages of age, ex-I perience, brain-power and learning, but it is still open to bulls, blunders and errors.- Faculty control is a matter of cir- * S* ES* * TO sN.* * * OFW INTEREST TO WOMEN.* * * * * * * * , * *I B.
