With more than 500 men signed up as players of the indoor sport, it is be- lieved there will be from fifteen to eighteen class teams in the series. The championship schedule will not begin unti lafter the holidays, but most of the managers plan to have their teams organized before vacation. During the holidays the players who remain in Ann Arbor will organize in- to teams for practice, and as there will be no gymclasses, unlimited oppor- tunities will belgiven for basketball games. Com- bustion, caused by the heated condition of the coal when it was unloaded this summer, is the cause of the fire. -Four hundred new slides have been added to the present photographic col- lection of the forestry department. The new addition was obtained by Profes- sor Filbert Roth and Professor P. S. Lovejoy from the U. S. government forestry service during their recent trip to Washington, D. C., when they attended the National Conservation Congress. These loungers have grown in pop- ularity from the start and the only re- striction upon the size of the attending crowd is the number of tables. Every day last year, with the excep- tion of the holidays and examination week, the Union was the scene of some social event and many of the days were occupied with more than a single affair.
