Each day, we are becoming more keenly alive to the belief that we are running a newspaper on the campus. We are glad, proud, and we are sat- isfied. Communications, indicative of the fact that there is a real progressive interest in things Michigan on the campus, are coming to us in each mail Some are worthless because of their length, others because of their lack of a proper appreciation of fitness. Some agree with us. Good! Some disagree with us. Good! Some at- tack us. Good! Some praise us. Good! All are thinking. Good! AtUMNUS VISITS ANN ARBOR ON TRANSCONTINENTAL TOUR J. N. I PAD THE HAMMER! It's easy to knock. Criticism is often merited and desirable, provided it is of the constructive variety. There are certain pests running at large amongst us, habitues of the anvil chorus, who are never happy unless destructively attacking every line ofj endeavor that stands for something on the campus. Any suggestions or, steps toward improvement are farthest from their minds. They are incapable of constructive action. Malicious de- struction is their one delight. It is grossly unfair to the men striv- ing to do their best. Perhaps the above-mentioned parasites are incur- able. Nevertheless, an occasional kindly word of praise from the silent majority will often help to dispel the glooms. Mil E S It's easy to follow the line of least resistance. As a result, in spite of the efforts of these working for the "cam- pus beautiful," the same well-defined paths are being worn over the freshly sown sections of the campus by thoughtless persons. A little fore- thought on your hurried way to an eight o'clock, and manifest public dis- approval will work wonders towards remedying this annual bugbear. Re- member-Boo-Yao Tsai Chao-Dee Cheo -Too!
