Ferry field courts today, with thirty-
two contestants entered. All matches,
including lireininry and fiirst round,
must be played todaiy and thoso who
have trouble in arrang;intg their nmatch-

toe in charge of the tournament at,

Tournmenct play will take prece-
dence over all matches on the courts,
and contestants will find a drawing of

This is an unusually large member-
ship for the beginning of the year, and

succeass. Several implortant changes in
the management have made more work
this year titan belore, but the .efforts
of the woment have resulted in a Jue1
wder scope of usefulness than was
hitherto possible.

of great benefit to every college wo-
man, in that the Friday afternoon par-
ties give opportunities for social in-
tercourse such as can be had in no
other' way. For the freshmen especial-
ly, it is a chance to develop the social
side of the Mature, to learn to be a
good "mixer." The league believes
tihe social education to be a most imn-
portantr part of college training, and so
it. is be(nding all its energies toward
brining all the college girls together
occasionally. It is to be hoped thatII
this year will see practically every
woman student a member of the
League.
