confined to his home for the past
week on account of sickness, is again

At the meeting of the University of
Michigan club of Detroit held on No-
vemnber 5, James Duffy, '90-'92L, ad-
dressed the alumni of that city, and
strongly advocated an anti-confer-
ence policy. After this speech a vote
was taken and the result showed 141
opposed to a return, 1 in favor of a
return, and 20 non-committal.
At yesterday's meeting of the club,
Louis Hailer, '11-'14L, set forth the
arguments of the pro faction. A second
vote was then taken with the result
that only 58 cast "No" ballots, 39 vot-
ed "Yes" and 68 refused to express
them selves.
