quarter when Ayres took a forward
pass and reeled off a 40-yard run
which took the ball to the Michigan 10-
yard mark. But so fiercely did the
Wolverine youngsters brace at this

'idway in the second quarter the
:higan team worked the ball to
hin scoring distance and Quinn
tin dived over for the touchdown.
It missed Hughitt's kickout, and no
nt resulted from a goal from touch-
vn, as was the case after the first
o touchdowns. Hughitt made the
rth touchdown after Boensch fum-
d Quinn's punt and Lyons fell on
ball on Vanderbilt's three yard
e. Again Galt failed to hold the
kouts.
n the third period, the teams battled
hout a score, but in the final quar-
,Michigan added another "just for
feet forward pass put the ball on
k." Gains by Mead and Galt, and a
six yard line and H ughitt slipped
oss the line for the last touchdown.
.erson added the point from goal.
Ichigan's use of the forward pass
s one of the best features of the

game. The heaves f Quinn to Lyons
were ground gainers in almost every
instance. Out of five tried in the first
half, only one went wrong and that
was because Lyons was interefered
with. The work of Galt and Quinn in
the defense was also highly efficient.
In fact the whole team "looked good,"
and the Michigan supporters in Nash-
ville have forgotten that M. A. C. ever
gave the Wolverines a beating.
Dudley field, a sea of mud on Friday,
dried up beautifully, and the teams f
were not handicapped to any great ex-
tent by a slippery turf.
