It is iment of a censorship of ng, which savors not of of some autocratic or the- try. The canable student have locked up but we do insist that no moral or literary censor be ap- pointed. We heartily agree with Dean Cooley that when a man arrives at a man's estate, he should be allowed to "take his things straiht." This does, not consist of an expurgated edition of any book, intended primarily for use in the nursery. The entire attitude of the authorities is wrong and we be- lieve that Fra Albertus was right when he said, "How can we expect .to de- velop lions when we allow the lion cubs to be trained by emasculated lions and lionesses?" Start Good Custom. The members of the Michigan chap- ter of the debating fraternity are to be congratulated upon introducing a new custom at Michigan. The idea of celebrating Memorial day by having some big speaker here is just as fitting as the celebration of Washington's birthday by the senior law class. Me- morial day has a deeper meaning to the country than a day of pure pleas- ure and we are glad to observe that some organization has taken up the matter seriously and is planning to celebrate it in a fitting manner. -Most of us are prone to forget the real significance of this day and look upon it as a holiday to be whiled away in the most pleasant and agreeable manner possible. The deeper mean- ing of the day should be fittingly cel- ebrated in some way or another. We cannot all place flowers upon the grayes of soldiers and sailors but we can help in other ways. One of these is to help to inaugurate the custom in; troduced by Delta Sigma Rho. DECENNIAL CATALOGUE OF GRAI)UATES COMES OUT SOON Work on the decennial catalogue of he graduates of the university is pro- ^-ressing and Prof. I. N. Demmon, the oditor, expects that the book will be ready by Commencement Day. The catalogue will contain the names, ad- dresses, and occupations of the living alumni of the university and the names of the deceased alumni as far as can be obtained.
