The ev- ening program will be similar to that of last year. The seniors in caps and gowns will march and form the "M" and the "12." The juniors will dance. a German Reigen, the sophomores will give the Maypole dance and the freshmen the English Morris dances. This will be followed by a lantern march aound the fieldafter which the classes will probably disband in- stead of marching up to the gymna- sium as they did last year. The main difference between this year's and last year's Field Day is that the even- ing program will be open to the pub- lic. WESTERN ELECTRIC ENGINEER WILL SPEAK ON INSULATION. Mr. F. W. Willard, '05, engineer of methods, of'the Cable Rope and In- sulation shops of the *Western Elec- tric Co., will lecture tonight at 8 o'clock in the west physics lecture room on "Insulating Materials and Their Limitations." The lecture is being held under the auspices of the Engineering Society and is open to the public. Doctors Testify in Murder Case. Dean V. C. Vaughan, Dr. A. S. War- thin, and Roy Pryer, assistant in the hygiene laboratory, returned Sunday from Bad Axe where they testified in the Sparling murder case. The trial has not yet been decided and the men will be called again to take the stand if the court so directs it. PROF. C. H. VAN TYNE TO GIVE TALKS IN UPPER PENINSULA Prof. C. H. Van Tyne of the history department, will be absent from the city for a week to give a series of lec- tures on European and American his- tory in the Upper Peninsula. He will lecture at Calumet, Houghton, and other cities, delivering seven lectures in all, and will probably not resume his classes until next Monday.
