SOCIETY TO HAVE
LECTURES NEXT YEAR

George H. Bishop, secretary of the
Intercollegiate Socialist society reports
that the Lyceum course, which the lo-
cal Marxians brought to Ann Arbor in
the early part of the year, has been a
decided aid in securing new members
to the organization and in disseminat-
ing socialistic thought around the
campus. He stated that all the mem-
bers of the society feel copfident, that
they will be able to secure another
set of lectures for next year, and that
they are expecting to rent a better
equipped hall in order to accommo-
date larger audiences.
This year, books or magazines hav-
ing a value of one dollar were given
away with each ticket bought. A sim-
ilar practice will be continued next
year, but the numlber of books thus
obtainable will be greatly increased
as larger quantities will be printed
and the equipment will probably be
owned by the society itself.
