Girls' Glee Club.
The annual concert of the girls'
Glee club was given last evening in
Barbour gymnasium. The concert pre-
sented an excellent program, and was
given in a way which evidenced care-
ful preparation. Miss Nora Hunt, as
director, deserves the greatest praise
for the result accomplished and the
fine ensemble into which she has train-
ed the club. Miss Vernelle Rohrer
was the soloist, and displayed, a beau-
tiful and well managed voice in the
aria from "Samson," "My Heart at
Thy Sweet Voice." Mrs. Reed, Miss
Johnson, Miss Smurthwaite, and Miss
Hunt sang the charming "Spring Song"
of Hawley.
Foundry Company Wants Students.
The American Steel Foundries Co.,
of Chicago, has sent a representative
here to hire any senior mechanical en-
gineers of ability that can be secured.
Faculty Man Will Address Websters.
Prof. R. E. Bunker, of the law fac-
ulty, .will address Webster society to-
night on "Practical Advice to the
Young Lawyer."
FOUR CANOEISTS (ET DIP
IN COOL WATERS OF HURON.
What might easily have proved a
serious accident was barely avoided
last night, when a canoe containing
four persons, among whom was "Doug',
Douglas, assistant athletic coach, upset
on the Huron river near-the ice house.'
The party was rescued by another
canoe which happened to be in the
vicinity.
To graduate from college in their
