EXTENDS HAND OF WELCOME TO
"SLEUTH" BURNS.
(Continued from page 1.)
not an entertainer. : Jack Johnson's
appearance on the University Hall lec-
ture platform might involve us in
heated discussions concerning tloe
race problem. Nor is he strictly
speaking an entertainer. Tyrus Cobb
of the Detroit Americans has on sev-
eral occasions proved himself an in-
teresting performer, but as a platform
lecturer he has not yet attained, that
high standard which would entitle
him to rank with Detective W. J.
Burns.
On the whole it is best to proceed
cautiously and secure only men of na-
tional reputation. Such a man is De-
tective W. J. Burns. ,
Truly yours,
Not-yet-recovered-from-Dr.-Cook.
