DIE JOURNALISTEN ACHIEVES SUCCESS Continued from page 1.) in her interpretation of the difficult role of Adelheid, and made the difficul- ties of such a role seem as easy going. Equal praise is due Mary Woodhull who played the part of Ida, the daugh- ter. Although the role which she was chosen to play did not offer any ex- ceptional possibilities, the work was well done. Character playing was the salient feature of last night's acting.. The fun and vim which was contained in a good number of the parts did not fail to get over to the audience when han- dled by the members of the cast who were picked for them. J. Siveke, J. F. Lauver, J. O. Dieterle, L. P. Haller, and Harold Douglas played such roles as these, and the female cast was com- posed of Misses Vera Burridge, Jean Sharpe, and Hazel Albano. Especial praise is due to Professor J. A. C. Hildner who has taken an act- Ive and sympathetic interest in the play during all its stages of rehears- ing.
