It was voted to place screens in the eye and ear ward of the University hospital. A letter from the local chapter of the Daughters of the Revolution, of- fering to plant an elm tree on th'e campus, was received. The tree is from the old home of George Washington at Mt. Vernon. The proposal was ac- cepted but the location of the tree was not decided upon. The degree of Bachelor of Arts was awarded to Carolyn S. Ledyard, and leave of absence from May 15 to Oct. 1 was granted to Amanda Belser, clerk in the library. Three nurses, Cordelia Robers, Pearl V.
