Believed that Forestry Department Will Undergo a General Remodelling. Assurance was given by the Board of Regents yesterday that the forestry department will receive added support in the future, and that Prof. Filibert Roth will be seconded in everything that he contemplates doing for the upbuilding of the department. The general plan for improvement in the department was approved by the Board, and the details were referred to the executive committee. Owing to the absence of Prof. Roth from the city, no prospectus could be obtained regarding his plans. The scope of the work in forestry will be greatly broadened and will take in phases that are not now touch- ed. Nothing definite has been done in regard to new teachers, but it is safe to assume that Prof. Roth will provide an able corps of assistants, leave the field in such a condition that it could not be used the next day. Cap-night will probably be held, therefore, either upon Friday, May 17, or Friday, June 1. Which of these dates is chosenhdepends largely upon the date of the Senior Swing-out, which has not yet been set. WOMEN'S ATHLETIC OFFICERS FOR NEXT YEAR ARE CHOSEN.
