MUSIC AND DRAMA
"The Cat and The Fiddle."
"The Cat and the Fiddle," Chas. A.
Sellon's Merry Musical Comedy, will
appear at the New Whitney theater
Thursday, April 25. Mr. Sellon de-
serves the success that has rewarded
his effortsin producing a musical com-
edy in these days that will send you
from the theater whistling its popular
airs, laughing at its funny jokes and
commenting on its mystifying tricks,
without one regret that you have taken
mother, sister, or sweetheart. Among
the most treasured press criticisms
that Mr. Sellon retains' are those
speaking of the unusual freedom from
suggestiveness of every part of his
production.
His contention that clean jokes pro-
duce the loudest and longest laughs is
well borne out in the success of "The
Cat and the Fiddle," judging by the
people who flock to see it.
