ternoon. Major Burdett of the Univer-
sity of Wisconsin wil be the guest of
the club and following the exhibition
will give an opportunity for those in-
terested to see his methods of instruc-
tion in the different sports of which
he is master. Major Burdett was for-
merly in the English army and, more
recently, the director of the gymnasi-
um at the University of Oxford and
instructor of Fencing and Boxing at
Leland Stanford.
He will give a few private lessons
during his stay in Ann Arbor, and the
Fencers' club has secured the use of
the gymnasium in the basement of Mc-
Millan hall for this purpose. Maj. Bur-
dett will also give some lessons at the
University club in Memorial Hall, and
at the city Y: M. C. A.

A schedule of about half a hundred
Extension lectures to be given in the
Upper Peninsula during the spring
months has been mapped out by the
Lecture Bureau. Though the dates for
practically none of the engagements
have been set definitely, the men who
will go north and the places where
they will appear have all been decided
on, and were announced last night.
Professors W. D. Henderson, R. M.
Wenley, C. H Kauffmann, C. H. Van
Tyne, A. A. Stanley, J. S. Reeves, C. T.
Johnston, Filibert Roth, A. H: White,
Dr. N. S. Hoff, and Mr. David Friday
are the lecturers to address the citi-
zens north of the Straits during this
month and next. No engagements
were made north of St. Ignace during
the winter months for fear of delays
in teain service on account of th'
weather.
Five "copper country" towns,Hough-
ton, Hancock, Calumet, Dollar Bay:
and Lake Linden, are included in the
schedule, as well as three points in
the "Mackinac district," Allenville,
Pickford, and Stalwart. Lecturers will
also appear at Marquette, Negaunee,
Gwinn, Gladstone, Norway, Iron Moun-
tain, Crystal Falls, Manistique, Esca.

Limit of 300 Lectures Reached.
The full quota of 300 lectures has
been filled and from now on no more
dates will be made. A map in the
president's outer office shows by means
of tacks with vari-colored heads, where
the lectrures have gone and how many
each city or town has had.
Detroit heads the list with fifteen
lecturer engaged, in all and Grand
Rapids is a close second with four-
teen. Lansing and Saginaw come
next in order, with nine and eight, re-
spectively.

Prof. W. D. Bancroft, of the cheni-
istry faculty at Cornell University, will
give a public lecture on "The Theory of
Dyeing," in the amphitheater of the
chemistry building at 8 p. m. Friday,
April 26, under the auspices of Phi
Lambda Upsilon, the chemistry honor
fraternity.
The fraternity, will hold a banquet
Thursday, April 25, at 6 p. m., at the
Michigan Union.
Architects Will Ureak Into Society.
The Architectural Society will give
its first annual party Friday, April 26,
at 9 p. in., at the Packard Acalc1.y
The affair will be informal.
Tickets may be secured from Ran-
