Academy ly anid Cekas 570LI I; PINOCHLE TOURNAMENT TO START TOMORROW EVENING Eleven couples, true and trusty Ger- mans, have entered the lists of the first Michigan Union auction pinochle tournament, which will be officially started at 7:30 p. m. Wednesday at the clubhouse. The tourney will be gov- erned by Hoyle's rules and the couple securing the greatest number of points will be declared the winner. Fifteen rounds of four hands each will be played and the advancement will be by progression. Play in the contest will be resumed on Monday and Tuesday of next week, but these dates are only tentative and are subject to change No prizes have been selected as yet for the tourna- ment. HOWE ON THURSDAY Appearing under the auspices of the Women's League and the Homeopathic Guild, Lyman T. Howe will present his "Travel Festival" in University hall Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. Two of the features of th program are views of the recent review of the U. S. navy, and the ascent of the Alps by the Cog Wheel railway. Besides these the latest in motion pic- tures of the Forlanni hydroplane will be exhibited, as well as views of the Grand Canyon, Italy, France, hunting by aeroplane, and the recent eruption of Mt. Etna. Admission to the entertainment will be 25, 35 and 50 cents. Why Not Here, Toot "Bawling out" a man for being un- prepared to recite will receive its just deserts Friday in far Seattle when the entire law faculty of the Uniersity of Washington will be called before the student bar to answer a charge of un- reasonable conduct during the past college year.
