Ann Ar- able that spring enthusiasm is quite
of Con- as effervescent as these trespassing
folks might urge in explanation. If
your flat-boats are- undisciplinary, and
you are not equipped with mud and
water guards, the unending thanks of
the pedestrian would be gained by a
transfer of your right of way from the
sidewalk to the indifferent road.

Speaking of Showers.
Concurrent with the appearance of
the first robin, and the reported flight
of ducks northward, the break-up of
winter shows, even to the casual ob-
server, other evidences of spring fever
not quite so welcome.
Yesterday afternoon, an energy-em-
bued student on a bicycle, managed to
transfer several quarts of black water'
from the sidewalk to the wearing ap-
parel of a feminine pedestrian on
North University avenue, via unpro-
tected back tires, without as much as
a warning of his approach. Similarly,
the same type of individual can be
seen at almost any time of the day,
these days, and in almost any quarter
of the city, splashing an unapologetic
SEAT SALE FOR MAY FESTIVAL
PROMISES TO SET NEW RECORD
Last night marked the close of the
first week of the seat sale for this
year's May Festival, and according
to Charles Sink, secretary of the
School of Music, the success of the ad-
vance sale was above the ordinary.
The disposal of the $3.50 reserved seats
began Monday morning and many or-
ders have been received and filled.
From now on the lower priced seats
will be sold and there is promise of a
great demand for these. The sale of
season tickets, which includes admis-
sion to both the Choral Union concerts
and the May Festival, was much great-
er than usual last fall and as these
tickets must be reserved for the latter
event, this year's song fest promises
an even greater success than those of
former years.
