TEAMS TAKE HARD
CONTESTS AT GYM
Junior Laws and Soph Engineers are
Champions of Their De-
partments.
'14 LAWS BEATEN IN LAST MINUTE
In the most hotly contested game
that has been played in the'inter-class
basketball series, the junior laws over-
came the freshmen by a score of 41 to
39 last night, and increased their
chances for the campus championship.
The meeting of these two tams was
looked forward to with much interest,
and the outcome was doubtful until the
final whistle. At the end of the first
half the victors led their opponents by
a margin of nine points, but the lead
was soon overcome during the next pe-
riod, and again regained by the juniors
after hard playing and sensational
shooting. Two minutes before the
whistle blew for time, the score stood
39 to 39, but with only sixty seconds to
go Lewis tossed the ,leather into the
net for the coveted points, and time
prevented the freshmen from even at-
temptin to get them back.
Summary. Score-Juniors 41, Fresh-
men 39..
