FORESTRY CLUB WILL HOLD
ITS ANNUAL BANQUET SOON.
The annual banquet of the Forestry
Club will be held on Saturday, March
23 at the Michigan Union. The af-
fair this year is to be given in honor
of Prof. Roth, head of the forestry de-
partment, and will be in the nature of
a farewell tribute to him, inasmuch as
he leaves Michigan this June to go to
Cornell as senior professor of forestry.
Tickets for the banquet, which are lim-
ited in number to the seating capacity
of the dining hall at the Union, may
be obtained from the members of the
banquet committee.,

"The Optical Constants of Alloys as
a Function of Composition," in a recent
number of the Physical Review, gives
data showing the association of chang-
es in optical properties with changes
in other physical properties. The
problem that Dr. Littleton is at work
on at present is the relation of con-
ductivity to optical properties in melt-
ed alloys.
