Considering that the Hop is over,

the bank sent a similar one, humor is
impossible.

How dear to my heart are the scenes
of Ann Arbor, .
When deep-dyed despondency calls
them to view.
When all my sweet dreams of diplomas
are scattered,
By that hated, that feared, little letter
of blue.
I sadly pick up all my scattered be-
longings,
With grief and with shame my features
turn pale,
And all on account of that little blue
letter,
Blue little envelope, found in the mail.
The miler, the half back, the short
stop all got them,
The feelings of1coaches assume a dull
hue.
Chances are ruined and the year looks
most dismal,
Just on account of those letters of
blue.
The rooters are gloomy, the fans are
all sobbing,
The betters are thinking of their lost
kale
And all on account of that little blue
letter,
Blue little envelope, found in the mail.
