"The Top 0' Th' World.
"The Top 0' Th' World is still strik-
ing the high altitudes in popularity
and attendance this season. With
Bailey and Austin and a supporting
company of seventy people it will be
the attraction at the New Whitney,
Monday, October 16. There is never
a moment during the performance
when the audience with lagging in-
terest turn from the stage to read par-
agraphs in their programs, for the
play is so full of novel effects, and
laughs with the element of surprise
in them, that interest is constantly
directed to something new. It is so
marvelously well cast that the per-
formance is well nigh flawless. This
season a score of brand new tricks,
all originated by Bailey and Austin,
are introduced, making "The, Top 0'
Th' World" a rarer combination of
musical comedy, farce, extravaganza,
pantomime and spectacle than ever
before. The famous Collie Ballet still
remains a big feature.
Majestic Theater.
There will be the usual change of
program at the Majestic theater to-
night and incidentally Manager Lane
has issued a statement to the effect
that the new show will be one of the
best of the season. The feature acts:
will be the Three Melvin Brothers and
Vera Berliner. The Melvin Brothers
are a recent importation from London
music halls and they do a number of
the most original and startling ath-
letic feats that have ever been seen
here. Vera Berliner is a German girl
who is making her first American
tour as a violinist. Miss Berliner is
a noted musician and her act promis-
es to create a sensation tonight. The
chief funmaker of the bill will be the
famous Billy Window, well known for
many years as a minstrel star, having
appeared with Primrose, Haverly and
Dockstader. The rest of the show and
the photoplays will be above the or-
dinary.
