I at the Post Office at, Ann Ar-
Michigan, under Act of Con-
cian's attendance, there is only th -
choice between medical care at heavy
expense and the disagreeable actinE
as clinical material in one of the col-
lege hospitals. It might be difficult
and involve too great expense to equil
a small hospital exclusively for stu-
dents, but it would accomplish prac- E
tically the same results if two wards I ]
accommodating perhaps twenty-five
students were set apart in one of the
present hospitals. There should be a
ward for women students, a ward for
rmwn, and a surgical operating room.

Any student falling ill or meeting with
an accident could then claim the best
hospital service, including expert care'
by professionally trained nurses and
attendance by an experienced physi-
cian, without any direct expense to
himself. The support of the hospital
could be provided for by an annual
tax assessment of about two dollars.
this means that at a cost of thirty
zents a month every student would be
anabled to insure himself against the
heavy and unexpected expense which
in illness or accident always causes
3wing to the present state of the fi-

plan would probably be impossible
but there is every reason to believe

Comedy Club Success.
If artistic excellence is ever deserv-
ing of unstinted praise the Comedy
Club is worthy of such commendation.
A production such as was presented at
she Whitney theater Saturday evening
;ave keen pleasure not only to the dis-
cerning critic of dramatics but to the
average theater goer as well. Those
who went out of patriotism for a cam-
pus institution or interest, in the ap-
pearance of fellow students were car-
ried away in a vehicle of splendid com-
ady given a spirited production tha'
was professional in its finish, even
unto the last detail.
"The Magistrate" was a treat. Tc
the Comedy Club is due the thanks of
delighted patrons.

the health of the students under
,harge of a capable medical advisor,
coupled with the provision of a well
equipped student hospital, would con-
stitute one of our best advances of
recent years. Such student hospitals,

tained by a fee required from the en-
tire student body, are now success-
fully maintained at Harvard, Prince-

mnany other American universities.
The typhoid epidemics at Harvard,
Amherst, Stanford, and Cornell have
shown how invaluable such an insti-
