League Unable to Book Actress.
To the disappointment of the Wom-
-en's League officials, Edith Wynne'
Mathewson will not appear here _this
season. Miss Mathewson is rehears-
ing her new play and cannot spare,
time to come to Ann Arbor. The league
may be able to secure the Irish Play-
eswho are touring the country in
several plays by Synge, "The Playboy
of the Western World," "The Tinker's
Wedding," and others.

Mr. George Catlin, who is an edito-
rial writer on the Detroit Evening
News, will speak to Professor Scott's
class in journalism on "The Function
and the Fashion of the Newspaper."
The talk will be held Tuesday morninF"
