STATE STREET hoe'' J JALS WATCH, open face, movement fully guaranteed $12.00 $12,00' Signal Drill Given Cole's Ateri Instead of Scrimmage. Coach Oele's All-Fresh elevens did not scrimmage yesterday afternoon in view of the fact that the freshmen are to alternate with the scrubs in the mid-week game with the Varsity to- day. The freshmen were put through a stiff signal practice, however, in or- der that they may give as good an ac- count of themselves as possible. Collette, Smith and Hughitt seem to be most promising as ~backfield candi- dates on the All-Fresh team, while Kellar is working regularly at the quarterback job. Of the linemen, Kiefaber, Tully, Raynsford, Leahey, Davidson, are showing up well. On the showing against the Varsity today, Coach Cole will undoubtedly make his selection of players to represent the All-Fresh in the game with Mount Un-, ion Saturday. )IcNILLAN BACK AMONG WOLVER- ItiES.. (Continued from Page i) back in the game, and Quinn, who took Bogle's place at left guard, the team presented the usual lineup. Car- peli was at right half and got into the practice with a willshowing that lie has lost nothing by his enf. reed idleness. Bogle was worked at venter on the second eleven, learning to sub- titute for Patterson. Picard played uarter on the second eleven and Herrington and Heubel were worked at the half back positions. At the conclusion of the signal drill Yost gave his men a short drill on falling on the ball aild picking it up on the run before sending them to tbe gymnasium. Asked if the team would practice signals in the gym any evenings this week, Yost replied that it would not. "You see I am giving them a half hour's quiz each evening after din- ner at training table," he said. saying are being given by the mining engineering department of the Univer-r sity of Illinois.
