To Automobile and Motor Cycle Own-
ers:-The 1912 automobile and license
number plates are now being issued.
All owners should make application at
once so as to be prepared for January,
1, 1912. No cars or motorcycles will
be allowed the use of the streets of
Ann Arbor after January 1, 1912 with-
out them. In putting on license plates
the rear plate must be attached so
that the light from, the tail light will
shine on the number plate. This is in
accordance with the state law.

ing in St. Thomas Hall. The party,

Professor Moritz Levi of the French
faculty will open the lecture course
of the Cercle Francais this afternoon
with a talk on "Le Romantisme Fran-
cais." The address will be given in the
old philosophy lecture room in Tappan
Hall at 5 o'clock. Admission to this in-
itial number on the Cercle Francais
progra'm will be made by ticket. Stu-
dents may purchase tickets at the door
for 50 cents, but for others the price
